If you are renewing an existing NOD license, most of the time the expiry date for the existing
license is extended, so no changes are required on your computer(s). You can check the license
and update it if necessary using the following steps:
Note: You do not need to download a fresh copy of the software unless
you are upgrading to Version 4.0.
To check and/or update the NOD32 license:
Locate the NOD license username and password in your license e-mail. The username starts with
either AV- or EAV- ... If you don't have this, please contact Futura GTS as you will need it.
Double click the green & white square [version 2.x] or the green, yellow or red leaf icon
[version 3 or 4] in the bottom right hand corner system tray to open the NOD Control Center (by the clock).
For Versions 3.x and 4.x (represented above):
Select Update from the left hand menu list.
Select Username and Password setup... on the right hand side.
If the Username is different than the new license, copy and paste the information out of the license
e-mail you received into the Username and Password boxes.
Click OK and then click on Update virus signature database to test the license.
Click on the red X in the top right hand corner of the window to close the NOD control centre.
For Version 2.7 (represented above):
Click on Update to reveal the second occurrence of the word Update. This will open the Update Panel to the right.
Select the word Setup in the lower portion of the window.
This will open the Setup of Automatic Update window.
Check the User Name to see if it matches the license just sent to you.
If the User Name is different than the new license, copy and paste the information out of the license
e-mail you received into the User Name and Password boxes.
Select OK to close the Setup of Automatic Update window.
Click on Update Now from the Update Panel window to update the software and test your license.
